The EUROFOODWATER Conference on Water in Food, is organised at Helsinki from 3 to 5 June 2012.
This will be the seventh Conference in a series of workshops and conferences held in Ispra, Italy - 2000, Reims, France - 2002, Lausanne, Switzerland - 2004, Brussels, Belgium, 2006, Nürtingen, Germany – 2008 and Reims, France – 2010. This conference is becoming a regular event among technical meetings for engineers and scientists working in the fields of water determination, water activity and water interactions in Food.
This 7th International Conference on Water in Food will be held at Scandic Continental Helsinki which is located close to the city centre (about 10 minutes walk from the city centre). Registration and get-together party start the conference on the 3rd of June, official opening of the conference is scheduled on 4th of June and closing of the conference is scheduled on the 5th of June at 5 p.m.
This Conference hotel is located close to Töölönlahti Bay around which you will also see the Finlandia Hall, the Opera House, the winter garden and the wooden villas of the Etu-Töölö district. You can walk round Töölö Bay to Linnanmäki Amusement Park and Sea Life

Helsinki is easy to reach. Around 200 international flights a day arrive at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, which is located about 20 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki and can be reached by car in about half an hour. There are also daily ferry services to Helsinki from Estonia, Sweden and Germany and a daily train service to Helsinki from St. Petersburg and Moscow.
